He worked in the construction trade for many years, enjoyed gardening and was an avid outdoorsman. He was an active member of the Christian Fellowship Church in Kenna. He dearly loved and cherished his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carolyn Sue Collins Casto; his daughters, Meike (George) Freshour, Robin (Lymon) Anderson and Donna (Kerry) Hinzman; brother, Earl (Imogene) Casto of Ripley; sisters, Edna Kelly of Charleston, Eleanore Clay of Kenna, Reda (Oshel) Daniels of Cottageville and Wanda (Joe) McClung of Cross Lanes; sister-in-law, Joyce Casto; his grandchildren, Brandy Freshour Whittington, Lesley Freshour Roush, Steven Freshour, Erica Anderson Smith, Jessica Anderson Minnix, Angela Anderson, Rachel Hinzman, Jonathan Hinzman and Rebecca Hinzman; and great-grandchildren, Katherine, William and Grace Whittington, Julia, Lauren, Joshua, Zachary and Anna Roush, Noah and Isabella Freshour and Kile Minnix. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Veldra Harold Casto and Roland Casto, and sisters, Ravena Duffield and Imogene Casto. Funeral service will be noon Saturday, Aug. 23, at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastors Lymon Anderson and George Freshour officiating. Burial with military rites by American Legion Post 107, Ripley, will be in Plainview Cemetery, Kenna. He was united in marriage to Susie PARSONS, April 2, 1893. To this union nine children were born, of whom three preceded him to the great beyond. The deceased are Gilbert Nicholas, died December 14, 1895; Thomas Garfield, died May 21, 1912, and Bernice Gertrude, died January 14, 1923. He is survived by his wife and four daughters: Mrs. Mary SAYRE, of Akron, Ohio, Miriam, Myrtle and Mabel at home; two sons, Homer and Floyd, of Given; one brother, William Leftridge BOSWELL, of Rockcastle; three sisters: Mrs. Mary STAATS, of Charleston, Mrs. Irene HAYNES, of Romance, and Miriam GILLESPIE, of Marion, Ohio; two small grand-daughters, Delores BOSWELL, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Homer BOSWELL and Waneta SAYRE, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. SAYRE. Mr. BOSWELL was a kind and loving husband, an affectionate father and a good friend and neighbor to those who knew him best. He was converted about two weeks before death called him away.
