| 407 | Anita Virginia Hefner - - (Dec/21/2011) Anita Virginia Hefner Anita Virginia "Ann" Hefner, 83, of Weston, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, at Holbrook Nursing Home, Buckhannon, following an extended illness. She was born July 24, 1928, in Hettie, Braxton County, a daughter of the late Oley G. Casto and Edna Mae Hardman Casto. She was twice married, first to D.F. "Curly" Cawthon who died May 30, 1986, then to W.R. Lewis Hefner who died May 31, 2004. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one sister, Audrey Irene Warner Watson; one brother, William Aubra Casto; one half-sister; two half-brothers; and her foster parents, Guy and Malta Brohard. She is survived by two children, Larry D. Cawthon and wife Janice of Mt. Clare, and Linda L. Winter and husband Henry of Kenna; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several half-brothers and half-sisters. She was Baptist by faith and attended Faith Baptist Church of Weston. Friends were received Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Boyle Funeral Home, Weston. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, at the Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Robert Perrine officiating. | 408 | Anna Randolph was born in Roane county May 1, 1846 and departed this life February 26, 1932, age 85 years, 9 months and 26 days. At the age of sixteen years she was united in marriage with Christopher S Randolph of Roane county who preceded her to the realms of the soul five years ago, To this union were born ten children, four of whom preceded her iin death. Those surviving her are W.R. Randolph, C.W. Randolph and Jane Harmon of Advent, WVa; Mrs Cora Wolfe and Mrs Margaret Carpenter, Roane County and Everette Randolph of Charleston, WVa. Early in life she and her husband moved to Jackson County near Advent where they reseided until the Master called them to the sweet realms fo the soul. At the age of thirty she confessed Christ as her personal Savior and joined the ME Church. She lived an humble, obedient life to God until death called her away. All her life she was known to us as a loving mother, always ready to lend a helping hand to all mankind. Although her body wear and worn, her faith in God grew brighter as life ebbed away. She often expressed her desire to meet her companion and loved ones who had gone before. A light from our midst is gone and a chair in our homoe is vacant and a voice is still that spoke so kindly. "Sunset and an evening star and one clear call for me. May there be no moaning at the bar when I put out to sea" Besides her children she is survived by one brother, G.W. Gandee of Vicars, WVa and one sister, Jane Burdette of Gandeeville, WVa, and a host of grandchildren and friends whom she leaves to mourn her loss. She will be buried beside her husband in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in a private service. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
