David A. Pullins (1836-1910). It is not known whether had a middle name or merely the initial. He lived in Olive Twp., Meigs County, Ohio his entire life and work as a farmer or laborer the profession of most the Pullins men since they moved to Meigs County, Ohio. David lived at various locations in the township and never seamed to really settle down. Grandpa William used to tell the story that when he was a boy, the family moved so often that when they started to pack, their pet chicken would lie on her back so her legs could be tied together and be carried to the next location.

David married Christina Landon who lived just over the Athens County line. They had seven children to reach adulthood. They were from the oldest to the youngest Elizabeth, Harry, Ida, Ozias, George, Grandpa William, and Cora. Christina died in 1899 and was buried at Success Church.

David took a second wife. They had no children.

David served in the Civil War but didn’t see any action. When he died in 1910 he was buried in the Triplet Cemetery, where later White’s Chapel Church was built.
