Roane Co., WV. On 20 July 1848 in Jackson Co. married Mary "Polly" Ferrell born 13 June 1827 Kanawha Co., (W) Va., died 13 May 1885 Walton Dist., Roane Co. (Roane Co. Death Records) daughter of John Owen and Sarah Elizabeth (Allison) Ferrell. Martin and Mary settled in Roane Co. in 1848-49. [John Owen Ferrell born 1 Jan 1800 Russell Co., Va., died 3 Feb 1872.
