War Pension Files" - John O. or John O'Gullion, S36567, PA Line, he lived in Westmoreland Co PA at enl & afterwards lived in OH for many yrs then moved to Switzerland Co IN & was there in 1818 & 1819, appl 7 Jul 1831 in Decatur Co IN & was there in 1836, in 1831 he had a wife aged nearly 70, sol d 29 Jun 1850 in Howard Co IN, sol had m near Lexington KY or near Dayton OH to Mrs. Catherine (Riffel) Tanner a wid of Decatur Co IN she d there 11 Feb 1845, 5 children of sol were mentioned but only a son Thomas who in 1852 was aged 45 & living in Howard Co IN & a daughter Susan who m Levi Rayls & in 1852 was a res of Howard Co IN were surviving, wid's son Edward Tanner was of Decatur Co IN in 1852, sol's bro Robert Gullion was aged 54 in 1819 & made aff'dt in Switzerland Co IN & again in 1831 in same Co.
