Lester Boggess Jr. and his brother-in-law, Whopual Withrow, owned the business about 1953. In May of 1954 Lester Boggess Sr. bought it and ran it until 1982, 27 years. In those years he and Grandma ran a service station, sold dry good, toys, lamps, and had a grease rack. It was also a Greyhound bus stop. They even lived in the basement for a few years.
