      James E. Craig, 73, of Buffalo died February 16, 2000, in Putnam General Hospital after a long illness.
      He was a retired welder from Buffalo Manufacturing Co., Eleanor, with 10 years' service, an automobile mechanic, a member of the Boilermakers Union and a Methodist.
      Surviving: wife, Dorothy A. Mitchell Craig; daughters, Mary Ann Blankenship and Connie Jean Craig, both of Buffalo, Betty Louise “Susie” Knapp of Johnston, Ohio, and Sharon Lynn Stowers of Charleston; sons, William H. of Raleigh, North Carolina and Glenn Dale of Buffalo; sisters, Ella Hill and Iona Grady, both of Buffalo, Jo Higginbotham of Grimms Landing, and Hazel Absten of Winfield; brothers, Howard and Roy, both of Buffalo, Cleon “Rusty” of Robertsburg, and Johnny; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
      Service was held at Raynes Funeral Home, Buffalo, with the Rev. Dricle Douglas and the Rev. Denver Tucker officiating. Burial was in the Craig-Douglas Cemetery, Arbuckle. (Putnam Post)
