Howard C. Craig, 75, of Buffalo passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at home following a long illness.
Born Jan. 19, 1931, he was the son of the late William and Mary Craig.
He was a lifelong resident of Buffalo, a former mechanic for the West Virginia Department of Highways, a retired custodian from Putnam County schools with 17 years of service and a Christian.
Survivors include his wife, Dollie M. Craig; daughters, Velma Burdette of Bancroft, Cathy Rutledge of Black Betsy and Betty Lou Witt of Buffalo; sons, Cecil and Calvin Craig, both of Buffalo and Wayne Craig of Red House; brothers, Johnny Craig of Robertsburg and Roy Craig of Buffalo; sisters, Berna Jo Higginbotham of Robertsburg and Eleanor ?Ella? Hill and Hazel Absten, both of Buffalo; grandchildren, Joey, Alicia, Angie, Benjamin, Neal, Travis, Jeremy, Wendy, Mindy, and Jason; and great-grandchildren, Austin, Brogan and ?Lil Joe.?
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 21, at Raynes Funeral Home, Buffalo, with Pastor James Boggess officiating. Burial will follow in the Tucker family cemetery, Grimms Landing.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
