They owned and operated Miller's Doughnut Shop and 3 restaurants in Pittsburgh. Mrs. Miller enjoyed cooking, sewing, and quilting. She had made, and gave away, over 100 quilts. At St. Barnabas, she crocheted lap-robes for presents for patients, and was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in North Hills. Beloved mother of Della (Ronald E.) Slanina, James (Marilyn Goetz) Miller, Jr., and Donna (Jack) Klosky; cherished grandmother of Sharon (Peter) Terry, Diane (Thomas) Schachner, Ronald M. Slanina, Jason (Pam) Miller, Ricky (Christine) Miller, April (Nathan) Hill, Amber (Robert) Hadfield, Lisa Klosky-McVeigh, Timothy and Scott Klosky; also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters, including her twin sister, Veva Miller. Friends received Monday 3-8 p.m. at WINTER FUNERAL HOME, PC, 4730 Friendship Ave. Funeral Tuesday 10 a.m. Services 11 a.m. at Allegheny Cemetery, Temple of Memories.
