Mercedes G. Pust, 89, of Waynesburg, died Monday, November 2, 2009, in UPMC-Mercy hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born February 24, 1920, in Clay, W.Va., a daughter of the late Floyd W. and Minnie Parsons Rhodes.
Mrs. Pust graduated in 1938 from Clay County High School.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Pust was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Lippencott.
On November 29, 1941, she married William J. Pust, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Harlan W. (Georgann) Pust of Jefferson; a daughter, the Rev. Linda J. (Bill) McNatt of Greenville, S.C.; seven grandchildren, Harlan E. (Peggy) Pust, Dareck W. (Ronda) Pust, Lois J. Pust, Raelene (Larry) Koller, Melinda (Tom) Wyatt, Matthew (Shannon) Munsick and Marc (Wendy) McNatt; 11 great-grandchildren, Noah Pust, Hannah Pust, Abigail Pust, Alex Pust, Logan Koller, Leah Koller, Linda Kelley Kilgore, Hunter Munsick, Tyler Munsick, Luke Munsick and Whitney McNatt; two sisters, Luetta Hensley of Santa Anna, Calif., and Maxine Pancoast of Sun City, Calif.; and two brothers, Harlen Rhodes of Finleyville and Gene Rhodes of Venetia.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 6, in Faith Baptist Church, Lippencott, with the Rev. Paul Roofner officiating. Entombment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Jefferson Road, Morgan Township.
