Man Is Found Dead
Apoplexy Blamed in Death of Allen Alfred Hill
Allen Alfred Hill, 64, years old, was found dead early Sunday morning at the foot of the steps leading to the porch of his home at 2 Mel street. The body was found by a son, Nathan C. Hill who returned about midnight after an absence of several hours.
Dr. William Frank Work, county coroner, who made an examination of the body, reported that death was due to a stroke of apoplexy and that the victim had been dead two or three hours before the body was found.
Funeral services for Mr. Hill were to be held at the home at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon, under charge of Rev. J. F. Frame. Burial was to be in Spring Hill cemetery.
Surviving Mr. Hill are the widow, three sons, Ronald, Carl I. and Nathan; one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Melton; one sister, Flora Ritchie; and three brothers, J. C., Ammon and Charles.
Mr. Hill is also survived by five grandchildren.
