Donald W. "Mutt" Anderson, 74, stepped into Glory with a smile on his face on Oct. 2, 2008, at CAMC Memorial Division following an extended illness.
Don was a member of the Fairplain Union Church, retired from Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corporation, a graduate of Ripley High School and a member of Lodge 16 of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons.
Surviving is his wife, Barbara of Ripley; children, Tom and Marci Weyer, Tim and Jenni Hayhurst, Donny and Cindy Anderson, Greg and Juli Wamsley; grandchildren, Rondus and Courtney Casto, Trae and Codi Gandee, Jeff and Cassi McCoy, Ciara Anderson, Timmy Hayhurst, Nick and Logan Howery, Ian Henry, Jonathan Henry, Montana Wamsley, Wyatt Wamsley and Shiloh Wamsley; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Casto, Sadi Rae Gandee and coming in January, Cade McCoy; mother, Faith Anderson; brothers, Bob and Patsy Anderson and Ruda and Marcia Anderson; and sisters, Betty Hutton, Pete and Janice Peterson, Joyce "Cookie" Hall, Lee and Sandra Reed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Omer Anderson; and son, Jonathan Anderson.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Fairplain Union Church with Pastor Todd King officiating. Interment will follow at the Mountain Top Cemetery, Ripley. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. today at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley.
