Nelson Kent Casto, 59, of Statesville, N.C., formerly of Red House, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, June 8, 2009.
He worked in the construction industry as a heavy equipment operator.
Born August 22, 1949, he was the son of the late Denver Lee and Helen Thornton Casto.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Amber Casto of Poca; daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Todd Higginbotham of Winfield and Kelly and Jeff Moonshower of Marietta, Ga.; brothers and their wives, Bruce Casto of Winfield, Gary and Kathy Casto of Hometown and Tim and Lisa Casto of Bancroft; sisters and their husbands, Cathy and John Kirtley of Hurricane and Judy and Dale Clagg and Joyce Eads, all of Gallipolis Ferry; one grandson and eight great-granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 12, at Raynes Funeral Home, Buffalo. Burial will follow in Walker Chapel Cemetery, Robertsburg. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
