  Notes	From the 6/4/1988 Charleston Gazette: Opie Moore Sr., 69, of Gallipolis, formerly of Walton, Roane County, WV, died Friday in Gallipolis after an apparent heart attack. He was born in Walton, WV. He was retired from National Heat Treating Company, Columbus. He was a Protestant and a member of the VFW Post 4464, Gallipolis. He was a member of the DAV. He was an Army veteran of World War II and received the Bronze Star. He was a prisoner of war in Germany. Surviving: wife, Etta Ruth Moore; sons. Opie Eugene of Gallipolis, Larry of Spencer, WV, Richard Moore of Walton; daughters, Bernice Moore of Walton; sisters, Muriel Taylor of Dunbar, WV, Thelma Boyer of Columbus, Ohio, Alma Moore of Spencer, WV, Ollie Harper of Walton, Pearl Taylor of St. Albans, WV; six grandchildren. Service will be 2 pm Monday at Sinnett Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Pete Jones officiating. Burial will be in Billy Hunt Cemetery, Walton, WV. Friends may call from 7 to 9 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
