Born Feb. 27, 1877, in Roane county, he was a son of the late Alonzo and Isabell Ferrell Woodfell. He was a retired farmer. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Mae Bosworth Woodfell; a son, Hobart Woodfell, Charleston; three daughters, Mrs. Velma Guthrie, Clay Lick, Jackson county, Mrs. Ida Tolley, Ripley, and Miss Mildred Woodfell, at home; and a sister, Mrs. Iva Staats; Ripley. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Parsons funeral home, Ripley, with the Rev. Henry Stanley officiating. Burial will be in the Woodfell cemetery at Gay. Friends may call at the funeral home until the time of the services.
