AVIS, Irene Blanch Trent, 71, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, December 17, 2001 in a Roanoke hospital. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Richard Donald Avis; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Ricky King of Salem; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Judy Avis, Timothy and Beth Avis, both of Roanoke; stepdaughter and husband, Phyllis and Charles Bias of Crosshanes, W.Va.; two brothers, Freddie Trent of Roanoke, Sidney Trent of Salem; sister and brother-in-law, Lottie and Clovis Ross of Saltrock, W.Va.; six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 20, 2001 at 2 p.m. at the Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Ken Wright officiating with interment in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens.
