Born June 3, 1908 in the East Letart Community of Meigs County, daughter of the late Walter and Edna Boston Roush, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Racine United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Women's Association. She was also preceded in death in 1968 by her husband, Clarence Shields, whom she married May 10, 1928 in Marietta; a daughter, Jeannie Hagan; a sister, Edith McDade; and three brothers, Howard Roush, Herbert Roush and Lester Roush. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Etta Mae (Bob) Hill and Judy (Randall) Roberts, both of Racine; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Russell (Bernie) Roush of Racine; a sister-in-law, Carrie Roush of Racine; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Cremeens Funeral Home, Racine, with the Rev. Brian Harkness officiating. Burial will be in the Letart Falls Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today. Pomeroy Daily Sentinel December 6, 1999.
