Born in Servia, he was a stockman and farmer, a former Board of Education member in Braxton county and an Odd Fellow at Minnora. He was a member of Fayetteville Baptist Church. He had lived in Fayetteville for ten years. Surviving: wife, Cynthia Nugen Hall; sons, Rupert of Fayetteville, Delbert of Youngstown, Arizona, Darius of Phoenix, Arizona, Denzil of Parkersburg; daughters, Mrs. Ruby Neff of Youngstown, Arizona, Mrs. Nela Mileski of Kent, Ohio, Mrs. Lillian Warner of Seabrook, Texas; brothers, Perry of Frametown, Hugh of St. Albans, Herbert of St. Petersburg, Florida; sister, Mrs. Delma Knotts of Orma; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Services were held Wednesday, June 11, in Dodd-Payne Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with the Rev. M. Randolph Kessler and the Rev. Leon Nunley officiating. Burial was in Jack Point Cemetery, Servia.
