He was a retired foreman from Kanawha Manufacturing Co. with 40 years' service and a member and trustee of Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving: wife, Mabel Ray Burdette; sons, Ezra R. "Ronnie" Burdette of Charleston, Clyde Hayes of Dunbar; daughter, Sheila L. Martin of Cleveland; six step-grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with the Rev. Kenneth Pritt officiating. Burial will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
