      GAHANNA — Mrs. Lydia Isabelle Howard Casto, 76, of 219 Brookhaven Drive, a former resident of Marietta, died at 2 p.m. yesterday.
      She was born Aug. 11, 1902 in Kanawha County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Wilbur Howard and Martha Elizabeth Cooper Howard.
      She was married to Orvie O. Casto who died Oct. 29, 1976. A daughter survives, Mrs. Robert (Lois) Finkel of Gahanna, with whom she made her home. A son, Orvie, was killed in World War II. There are six grandchildren.
      Mr. and Mrs. Casto had lived in Marietta before moving to Tampa, Fla., in 1954. They had lived in Tampa for 20 years before moving to Columbus five years ago.
      She was a member of the Gold Star Mothers, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the VFW Auxiliary.
      Services will be held at 10:30 am. Saturday at the McClure-Schafer Funeral Home with the Rev. Francis Schwenderman officiating. Burial will be in Valley Cemetery.
