Marjorie "Marty" Casto
Mrs. Marjorie "Marty" Casto (Means), beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend passed peacefully in West Palm Beach, Florida, Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at the age of 81.
Marty is survived by her children, daughter Alison (BrettNeal) of Jupiter, FL and grandchildren, Joshua, Sarah and Chadd Peterson, son Wade (Cindy) Casto of Cornelia, GA;. Also surviving are brothers Stanley Means (Linda) their son Michael (Anita), Kelly Means (Linda) and nieces Valerie Amick (Chris) their children Paige and Evan; and Charlotte Haddad (Mitch) and son Davie; as well as brother Dan Means and sister Maggie Means who preceded her in death.
Marty was born December 17, 1932 in Charleston, WV to Joseph Gaines Means and Norah E. Means. Marty married Richard E. Casto "Dick" on August 6, 1953. Marty worked at Carbide in South Charleston as an Executive Assistant and went on to work for The Senate of West Virginia for a time. In 1967 Marty and Dick relocated to Palm Beach Gardens, FL where they raised their family.
Service for Marty Casto is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, at Haven of Rest Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel in Red House, West Virginia. Rev. Wayne Harrison will preside over the ceremony. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday in the mausoleum chapel.
