Frank Aylesworth DeGarmo, 83 of Worthington, WV , died Sunday, July 8, 2001 at his residence.
He was born in Silica, Webster County, a son of the late Noah S. and Eva McCord DeGarmo.
Mr. DeGarmo was a 1937 graduate of Jane Lew High School. Following graduation he owned and operated a general store in Jane Lew from 1937 to 1943. He then served in WWII in the U. S. Navy from 1943 to 1946.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Casto DeGarmo, whom he married 61 years ago; son and wife Stanley DeGarmo and Lauren Riggs of Orange Park, FL., daughter and husband, Debra and Richard Long of Sabillasville, Md; sister Mabel Huston of Marietta, OH; grandchildren, Eric Long of Sabillasville, Md; Keeghan DeGarmo and Scott Riggs of Orange Park, Fl.
He was preceded in death by one son; Patrick Lynn DeGarmo and his brother Ralph DeGarmo.
Funeral services will be held at the Ford Funeral Home Chapel, R. C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont, WV on Wednesday, July 11 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. D. D. Meighen and Richard Lon of the Catocin Church of Christ officiating. Interment will follow at the Broad Run Cemetery, Jane Lew, WV.
Ford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
