He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and was a retired construction worker. Mr. Counts was a member of Goshen Baptist Church. Surviving: wife, Ada Haynes Counts; daughters, Mrs. Charles C. Casto and Mrs. William L. Miller, both of Kentuck; son, Albert of Staats Mills; sisters, Mrs. Emma Hackney, Mrs. Anna Parsons and Mrs. Hazel Stire, all of Charleston, Mrs. Alice Hackney of Ashtabula, Ohio; brothers, Joseph of Romance, William and Sheldon, both of Charleston; 8 grandchildren.
