Darcus Elizabeth Casto, born November 22, 1920, a loving mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, April 16, 2008,
Free at last to finally be with her Lord and Savior.She was a born-again Christian and a homemaker, having resided in Dunbar for 65 years.Mrs. Casto was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Delbert A. Casto.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Patsy Rodgers, Dottie Clendenin and Joyce Wickline and her husband, David, all of Dunbar. She is also survived by her sisters, Irene Bailey of Cross Lanes, Lois Thornton of Liberty and Betty Kessel of Cleveland, Ohio; and her brother, Edward Dean of Red House. She will also be missed by her eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and many extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with burial in Moss Chapel Cemetery, Jackson County.Friends may call one hour prior to services at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.In lieu of flowers, please make donations to HospiceCare, the Alzheimer's Association or charity of your choice.
