Williams, 82, Parkersburg, Rt. 4, died yesterday following an illness of one week. He was a native of Wood county, the son of the late James and Harriett Sams Williams. He was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Cressie Kerns Williams; six sons, Lawrence, William R., Earl A. and Henry G. Williams, all of Parkersburg, Frank E. at home, and John J. Williams, Vienna; three sisters, Mrs. Nora Snyder and Mrs. Anna Montgomery, both of Parkersburg and Mrs. Clara Hornbeck, Warrentown, Va.; three brothers, Charles, Ralph and Raleigh Williams, all of Parkersburg; four sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Bartlett, Washington, Mrs. Lulu Boso, Miss Pearl Williams and Miss Hattie Williams, all of Parkersburg; 32 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant View Baptist church, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
