Lena Faye Ball Casto, 78, of Eleanor went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, at Teays Valley Center, Hurricane, following a short illness.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eleanor since 1957. Lena retired from Putnam County schools in 1989, where she worked as a secretary.
Born Jan. 15, 1929, in Charleston, she was the daughter of the late Cleveland and Vergie Cooper Ball. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Rockford R. Casto, and one brother, Bill Ball.
Survivors include her daughters and their husbands, Phyllis and Richard Lindsey of Wilmington, N.C., and Janice and Gary Loud of Sour Lake, Texas; grandchildren, Jonathan, Randy, Debbie, Tiffany, Lisa and Matthew; and great-grandchildren, Abby, Cameron and Emery.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at the First Baptist Church of Eleanor with Pastor David Panaro Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery, Eleanor.
