Johannes (John) Richter, son of Hans Jacob and Elisabeth Richter of Trupbach, was born Dec 1, 1711, his godfather being Johannes Fischbach, the mother's brother.Hans Jacob Richter of Trupbach was admitted tothe Guild of Steel-smelterers and Toolmakers at Freudenberg and Ferndorf on June 7, 1712. In the summer of 1713, John Hacob Rector, his wife, Elizabeth Fishback, and his son John, left Trupbach for the New World along with the other 1714 emigrants fromNassau-Seigen.
The 1754 Prince William Co Rent Rolls show John with 300 acres in John Baylis's List.
Died between Mar 9 and Mar 24, 1773. On Mar 9 he made deeds to various people and on Mar 24 his will was probated, Dr Salman's book gives Mar 11, 1773 as the date.
Married prior to Mar 11, 1733/34 (the date of the will of John Fishback) his irst cousin, Anna Catherine, eldest daughter of John and his wife Agnes, 1714 emigrants. Dr Salmans give March 1731 as the date.
On Aug 27, 1752 and July 23, 1754, John Rector was orderd by the Court to be paid as a witness or William Reddin in a suit of james Spencer (Prince William order book, 1752-3, p 221, and 1754-5, p 124) William Reading was apparently a brother of Thomas Reading, whomarried the widow of John Rector (d1742). The eldest or next eldest son of Henry Rector, son of John Jacob and brother of John (b.1711d.1773) was named Spencer Rector, which may indicate that Henry Rector's wife Anne was a sister or daughter of the James Spencer mentioned in the suit.
