- Born Hans Jacob Richter in Siegen, Germany about 1674
Hans was admitted to the Guild of Steelsmiths & Toolmakers in the Freudenburg District on Jan 7, 1712.
At a court held per adjournment from yesterday the 2nd day of June 1724, for Spotsylvania Co (Will Bk A, pp 3-4) - see John Fishback- Jacob Richart stated that he came to Virginia in April 1714 with his wife Elizabeth and his son John, and certificate was granted hom to take up 150 acres of land.

Mr Fender thinks that the Hans Jacob Fischbach who sold a house in Trupbach in 1713 on the eve of emogration, to Johannes Richter fo Weidenau, was really hans Jaboc Richter, Phillip Fischbach's son-in-law, who was selling our to his brother and was called Fischbach in the record because he had married into that family.

Died at Germantown about 1728 or 1729, probably just before August 7, 1729 when the three trustees, John Fishback, John Hoffman and Jacob Holtzclaw deeded to the 12 families at Germantown their parts of the 1805 acre grant which had been made in1724.
