Mason Co tax list Jesse Hughes jr 1805-06-07-10-11-12-13-14 From Fran: After marrying Susan Mock, they lived in what is now Jackson County, WV on Cow Run, located on Mill Creek between Ripley and Cottageville. He was on the tax list in 1805-14 in what is now Jackson Co. and was in the 1810 census of Mason County (00001-11010), and in the 1820 census there (321101-21011). His age apprears to be older than we have found elsewhere although his age and the marriage dates of his parents have not been documented. Whether Jesse moved or missed being counted or died in Jackson County after this, we do not know, but his children were married there, and Elias, Nancy, and James are found in the 1860 census.
