  Notes	Hans Jacob Richter (John Jacob Rector) was the son of Christopher Richter, clockmaker, of Trupbach, Nassau-Siegen, Germany and his wife, Anna Cathrin, as shown by Dr William J Hinke in his article on the parentage fo the 1714 colonists to Virginai (Virginia Magazine of History and Biography, Vol 41, p 41 ff). However, Dr Hinke omitted hans Jacob's christening from the list of children as he found only six children of Christopher and Anna Cathrin Richter, whereas further research in the Siegen church records shows that there were actually eight. Hans Jacob Richter was born in 1674, christened the 19th Sunday after Trinity, 1674, and his godfather was Hans Jacob Zimmermann. Christoffel was a member of the Guild of Steelsmiths & Toolmakers, the Freudenberg District. Occupation: Clockmaker
