  Notes	Died of Typhoid Obituary Mary Ellen Ritchey Rupe was born January 29, 1854, in Muskingum county, Ohio, and died November 14, 1896, at her home in Gallia county, Ohio. She leaves a husband and three children to mourn her loss. She was united in marriage to Jacob H Rupe, August 1, 1878. she united with the ME Church at the age of 9 years in Muskingum county, Ohio. She bore her severe illness of eight weeks with patience. She was a gentle, kind spirited woman, a devoted and faithful wife, a kind and indulgent mother. The funeral services were held at the church on Monday, November 16th and were largely attended. Rev F Gillian of Middleport, officiating.
