  Notes	Mrs. Addie E. (CASTO) PARSONS Seated before the open fire, happy and content in the company of her daughter with whom she was laughing and talking, and apparently in perfect health, Mrs. Addie E. (CASTO) PARSONS, Post Mistress at Parchment Valley for more than twenty years, suddenly exclaimed "my head feels so light and is swimming," fell back in her chair, stricken with apoplexy, and expired within the hour, without moving a muscle or gaining consciousness, at 9 o'clock Wednesday evening, age 56. Neighbors were called in, and Dr. PARSONS, who had been summoned by telephone, just started to the home when she ceased breathing. Mrs. PARSONS was the second daughter of Jacob and Celia CASTO, of Fairplain. Thirty-four years ago she was united in marriage to George W. PARSONS, seven years deceased. She was a pure hearted, noble woman, a devoted Christian lady, whose sudden death is a great shock to the members of her family and a legion of friends. She had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church for forty years. She is survived by six daughters, four brothers and three sisters: Mrs. D. J. PARSONS of Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Holly KAY [Beatrice] of Danstown, Mrs. J. N. PARSONS [Celia] of Foster Chapel, Misses Freddie, Georgia and Dollie PARSONS at home; H. J. CASTO of Ripley, H. L. and I. C. CASTO of Fairplain, Rev. Homer CASTO of Pensacola, North Carolina, Mrs. P. S. FISHER of Mt. Tell, Mrs. Harriet RANSON of Buffalo, and Miss Sarah CASTO of Fairplain. The funeral will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday at Mt. Moriah. The remains will be interred beside those of her husband. (Mountaineer, 13 March 1914)
