Mrs. Martha STEWART
Mrs. Martha STEWART, wife of Elisha STEWART, Civil War veteran, died Monday night at eleven o'clock at her home on Thirteen, age 79 years. Mrs. STEWART had been in failing health and her demise was not unexpected. She was well and favorably known in that community. She had been a member of the United Brethren Chruch for more than fifty years. Besides her husband, she is survived by seven sons and one daughter: Chris, Nathan, Eph, B. F., and Bert, of this county. Carter and Holly STEWART of Pocahontas County, and Mrs. KINSER. The funeral was held Wednesday from the home. Rev. DAILEY conducted the services. The remains were interred in the SHINN Cemetery. (Mountaineer, 7 April 1911)
