He was 25 years of age, and leaves his parents, his wife, Hazel, and four children: Evelyn, six years old, Marlin, five, David three, and Kay two. The body was brought to the Wallace funeral home where friends may call. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Friday morning at 11 o'clock. Burial at Maplewood, Rev. Charles Palmer officiating. The Athens Messenger, Athens, Ohio - Thursday, June 17, 1943 George was the son of James L Southall and Orpha Ethel Staats. In the 1940 US Census he was living in Meigs Co. Ohio with his wife Hazel and children Evelyn, Marlyn G & David.
