  Notes	Spencer Times-Record Mrs. John H. Whiting Mrs. Nancy (Boothe) Whiting, the wife of John H. Whiting, of this city, passed away at 8 p.m., Tuesday, January 9th, following a surgical operation which was resorted to without success in a last effort to save the fleeting life. Mrs. Whiting had been complaining for some time, but it was not grenerally known that her condition was serious and the announcement of her death came as a shock and occasioned profound sorrow. Mrs Whiting was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph N Boothe, born in Harper District, July 15th, 1870. Her mother passed away several years ago, but the father still lives and is a resident of this city. When but a girl, Mrs. Whiting's family moved to Jackson County where she grew to womanhood and met and married John H. Whiting, Christmas day, 1892. Surviving this union are three children. Ruby aged 20, Wilmer 18, and Maysel 15. She is survived also by a brother, Edward Boothe, of Quick, W.Va., and four sisters, Mrs. G.I. Dicky, of Toledo, Ohio; Mrs. James Dawson, of this city; Miss Louise Boothe, of this city, and Miss Cora Boothe, of Toledo, Ohio. Mrs. Whiting was converted and joined the Belgrove U.B. Church when but a girl and she lived near to her Saviour unil death cut short her worthy life. She was a member of Wetzel Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and was well and favorably known by nearly everybody in this city. The funeral services will be held in the Methodist Episcopal church at 10:30 Friday morning and interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
