I find only one Solomon Hood each year 1850-1870 in VA. In 1850, a 12 year old Solomon is found with Julius in Jackson county. He could be the son of Julius or he could be his nephew. I suspect the ages on the 1850 census are not correct. I am adding Solomon as the son of Julius, because I cannot find James and Margaret. If they are found at a later day, I will move him into their family. I do feel that James was probably a child of John and Jane and therefore, brother of Julius.
