  Notes	Pioneer History of Meigs Co, OH to 1949: Elizabeth Willoughby was the daughter of Captain Thomas Willoughby, Lower Norfolk co, VA. He is said to have been born in England. 1629-1632, member of House of Burgesses, 1644-46, member of Governor's Council. Large tracts of land in Lower Norfolk pateneted to him. He sent his only son, Col. Thomas W., born Dec 25, 1632, to the famous Merchant Tailor's School, London, where he was entered in 1644 as only son of Thomas Willoughby of VA, merchant. In a patent to Capt. Thomas Willoughby, 1654, Thomas, Alice, adn Elizabeth W. are named among the headrights. He died in England in 1658 when administration of his estate was granted to his son, Thomas.
