  Notes	Monday, May 10, 2004 — Time: 6:18:13 AM EST Thelma L. Deem Thelma L. Deem, 89, a longtime resident of Vienna, died May 9, 2004, at Wyngate Senior Living Community. She was born Dec. 16, 1914, in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Cora Bell Joseph Conner. She and her husband were one of the founding families of St. Michael's Catholic Church and she was a member of the Ladies Elks. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, survived by two daughters, Lois Summers and husband, Wendall, of Parkersburg and Mary E. Deem of Huntington; five sons, Bernard M. Deem and wife, Nancy, of Parkersburg, Patrick E. Deem and wife, Alison, of Bridgeport, Bryan C. Deem and wife, Bernice, of Charleston, Steven E. Deem of Morgantown and John C. Deem and wife, Barbara, of Pensacola, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Deem; two sons, James E. Deem Jr. and William J. Deem; and was the last surviving member of her six brothers and two sisters. A Mass of Christian burial will be noon Tuesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, with Father Jim Chetock officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Leavitt Funeral Home Burdette Chapel.
