She was born on April 29, 1932, in Jackson County, WV, daughter of the late Charles William Rector and Laura Olenia Vannest Rector. Carrie was a member of the Ravenswood Church of Christ. She previously worked for the Ravenswood Credit Bureau and Carl E. Smith, Inc. She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Kaye Walters; sister, Kathleen Doris (Kaye) Hardy; brother, Charles J. (Judy) Rector; several nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Audrey Myrtle Carmichael and her husband, Robert M. Carmichael; brother, Ellsworth Owens Rector; and brother-in-law, Richard K. Hardy. There will be no visitation or service.
