  Notes	Disappeared May in 1898 From Tim Cox: John Emery Taylor was murdered in 1898. There is a whole story about it that was published in the Charleston WV paper on Memorial Day weekend a couple of years ago. The story was not known nor was his grave known to any of his sons or daughters (although they had some suspicions) as he went off to do jury duty in Charleston and never came back. On Memorial Day weekend in 2004 the family gathered and had a service for him and a service of forgiveness for his murder. We then dedicated a memorial gravestone in the Kennedy Cemetery on Blue Creek not far from Pinch up the Elk from Charleston.
