Russell Dorl Harper
GANDEEVILLE - Russell Dorl Harper, 88, of Gandeeville, Roane County, died July 17, 1999, at the home of his daughter, Enid Harpold of Gandeeville.
He attended Marshall University, Huntington, and Alice Lloyd College in Kentucky. He was a former schoolteacher in Roane County and an Army veteran of World War II.
Also surviving: wife, Leverene Jarvis Harper; daughter, Bobbette Harper of Harmony; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Harper Memorial Church, Harmony. Burial will be in Harper Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the church. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is in charge of arrangements.
