She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Martha Rock Thomas. She was married to James M. Harper in 1877 and ten children were born to this union; seven of whom survive: Mrs. Florence Rhodes, Vicars; John Harper, Ryan, Mrs. B. H. Cummings, Canton, OH, Minnie, Kate and Mayford all of Procious. Three sister, Amanda Greathouse, Walton, Maggie Frazier, Arkansas; Amma Spencer, Jefferson, Ohio; three brothers, Willie Thomas, Harmony; Maloy Thomas, Walton; John Thomas, Akron. Thierty-one grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. She was converted in 1869 and united with the Adventist Church.
