  Notes	The Times Record Spencer, WV 1996 Dessie Lura Harris, 92, of Wolfe Creek, died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 1996 at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley. She was born at Ryan, a daughter of the late Oscar and Florence Taylor Rhodes.   She was a homemaker and was a member and past secretary of Wolfe Valley Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Kert Harris of Grove City, Pa., Orville "Chub" Harris of Ripley and Gene Harris of Franklin, Pa.; one daughter, Edna Mae Hunter of Weirton; one brother, Jarrett Rhodes of Florida; two sisters, Minnie Larch of Tuppers Creek and Lona Jones of St. Albans; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Charley Harris; one son, Robert Harris; two brothers, Okey and Coy Rhodes, and three sisters, Macie Price, Nettie Varner and Mary Larch. Services were Saturday at Wolfe Valley Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Orris Harper officiating.   Burial was in Ferrell Cemetery, Vicars Ridge.   Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, was in charge of arrangements.
