Silas and Let Casto Reynolds lived off Woods Mill Road, outside Bidwell, Gallia County, Ohio. They moved there from Fairplain, Jackson, WV during World War I.
Loretta died in 1931, Silas in 1936. They left everything to their daughter Ernie. She kept the big farm (over 100 acres) and gave the other farm (86 acres ) to her brothers & sisters: Minnie, Allie, Dorcas & Crayton. John & Minnie Robie and Jim & Allie Fisher bought out Dorcas and Crayton. Everett & Erma Robie bought out Fishers in Jan 1938 and moved in. In Oct 1939, John and Minnie Robie moved.
Ernie's daughter owned half interest in the big farm. John Robie traded his farm in West Virginia for her interest in the farm at Bidwell, and wanted to live in the big house and Ernie to move out into the little house but Ernie was not agreeable to the idea. So John bought her out for $1,000. Ernie and Bill moved out on Rt 554.
