On May 24, 2014, our beloved mother, Fannie Cobb, 90, went home to be with the Lord.She was born February 1, 1924, at Belgrove, a daughter of the late Earnest and Ada Casto. She was also preceded in death by her spouse and best friend, Austin Cobb; sisters, Laura (Basil) Hutton, Esta (Laffette) Parsons; brothers, Clair (Neva) Casto and Richard (Claris Ann) Casto; and a grandson, Jason Preece.She is survived by sons, Earnest (Sharla) Cobb of Hillsboro and Allen (Helen) Cobb of Amhurst, Ohio; daughter, Connie (John) Nagle of Ripley; sister, Mildred (Claude) Casto of Jane Lew. Also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.She enjoyed a full and active life with family, work, camping, hunting and fishing. She worked at all different types of work from janitor to construction laborer. She took pride in working on the Ritchie Bridge in Ravenswood and the widening of roads in Ripley along with working at Eldercare when it first opened.Family and friends were always welcome to come eat or just visit as she spent time in their camp in Pocahontas County.Her later years were spent with her new friends and family at Eldercare, where she called home.Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Adam Nester officiating. Burial will be in the Fairplain Cemetery near Ripley.
