  Notes	Charleston Daily Mail Charleston, WV Wednesday, July 7, 2010 RUTH BETTY CASTO Ruth Betty Casto, 88, of Ripley departed this life July 5, 2010, at her home. She was born February 16, 1922, in Leroy and was a daughter of the late Ovey J. and Margaret Columbia (Davis) Pursley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Noel D. Casto; daughter, Sharon Casto; son-in-law, Chris Sampson; brother, Reedy Pursley; and sisters; Mary Hannah, Irene Smith, and Ruby Wilkinson. She was a retired sales clerk with 28 years service from O. J. Morrison Department Store, Ripley. She attended Parchment Valley Baptist Church and was a former secretary, treasurer, and choir member at Ripley Tabernacle. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling with the Air Stream Club, making crafts, and playing dominoes and rummy. Ruth is survived by her son, Doug Casto of Ripley; daughter, Verona Sampson of Kenna; grandchildren and their spouses, Andrea J. and Ben White, Lt. Col. Jason E. and Laura Jones and Wendy Jones; great-grandchildren, Jessica Jones, Kaylee Jones, Jacob Jones, Tyler White and Nathan White; brother, Les Pursley of Cincinnati, Ohio; and sister, Alpha McVay of Delaware, Ohio. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 8, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Herman Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairplain Cemetery, Fairplain.
