Juanita Louise Presley Brown Meadows, 84, of Ravenswood, WV, departed this life on September 7, 2005, at her home.
She was born on December 23, 1920, in Kenna, WV, a daughter of the late Joseph Leonard 'Doc' Presley and Laura Belle Smith Presley. She graduated from Pt. Pleasant High School and was an employee of the C & P Telephone Company for several years. She was also the owner of Brown's Drug Store in Ravenswood for many years. She was a Methodist by faith, and belonged to several women's and professional organizations in the past.
Surviving are her daughters, Jane Brown White and her husband LeVon, Ravenswood; Chestina Meadows Haynes and her husband Ernie, Sandyville; son, Larry G. Brown and his wife Penny, Wilding, WV; grandchildren, Noelle Westfall and husband Adam, Heather Mancari and husband James, Chris Brown and wife Jill, Melissa White, Jill White Tatterson and husband Craig, William White, Bethany Haynes, Olivia Haynes, Victoria Haynes, and Madison Haynes; 9 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Gertrude Frashier, Illinois, and Faye Johnson, Pt. Pleasant; 1 brother, Guy Presley, Hinton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Meadows; grandson, Joshua Brown; 1 brother, Glen Presley; and 3 sisters, Hazel Westfall, Freda Miller, and Gaye Smallwood.
Services were held on Saturday, September 10, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Reverend Darrell Johnson officiating and Ernie Haynes, speaker. Burial followed in Ravenswood Cemetery. Friends visited the family at the funeral home on Friday, September 9, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
