Milton came to Roane Co from Russell Co with his mother, Elizabeth Grancisco Webb, widow of Elijah in the fall of 1855. Land was bought from Thomas Jefferson Ferrell, s/o William Shadrack Ferrell and Frances Chewing Bailey. Milton & Betsy's graves are unmarked but descendants can still point out the locations.
