  Notes	From the 8/6/1943 Charleston Gazette: WALTON MAN KILLED SPENCER, Aug. 5--(AP)--Farris Hunt, 30, of Walton, died today of injuries suffered when a heavily loaded lumber truck plunged over an embankment on the Spring Creek road five miles north of Spencer, State Trooper Dan Carson reported. Carson said that Hunt and Clyde Edwards were riding on the load when the vehicle plunged from the highway. Edwards and two men riding in the cab escaped injury. From the 8/7/1943 Charleston Gazette: Services for Farris Hunt, 29, who was killed in a truck accident Thursday on Spring Creek, four miles from Spencer, will be held at 11 am tomorrow at Mt. Moriah Baptist church with Rev. S. E. Mundy officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Moriah cemetery. Surviving are his wife; Mrs. Oshal Hunt; a son, Robert; two daughters, Sarah Lee and Erma; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Hunt of Ryan; two brothers and a sister. He was employed by the Moffitt Trucking Co. of Walton.
