This Deed made this 11th day of October 1855 between the heirs of James F Watson by James H Brunn, comm'r of the first part, Martin Crites, Abraham G Casto, Margaret Crites, Marvin Pfost, Abraham Crites and Susan Fisher (late Crites) of the second part. witneseth that whereas the said Jas F Watson -- __ ract in writing dated July the 2, 1829, leased to John Crites the place ___ occupied by him on Mayas fork of Mill Creek, containing two hundred acres____hundred on the main right hand fork of Mill creek between the M___ ___ and adjoining the place occupied by Dan'l CAsto, also the land lay___ ___ therein provided it does not exceed more than one hundred and fifty acr___ ____ with a right to buy the same for $275 payable one half in three yea__ ____ the other in six years from that date, and whereas the said John Crites -- ____ed to pay the same, and the said commissioner has brought a suit __ ___ in circuit of Jackson county for the same and the said pa__ __and part having compromised with the said com'r the said Su__ ___ding debt interest and costs thereof, for the sum of $350 for which they h__ ____gred there Imt Bond to said Com'r bearing _en date herewith ___ __aid Commissioner is to dismiss the said suit and come to them ___ ___ land to be divided and held by them in Severaltz as hereinafer sta___ ___therefore in consideration of the promises the said parties of the first part do grant unto said parties of the second partlands ___ before named and discribed without warrants, To _____ in severally, the respective parts therof as they now respectively ___the same by their respective metes and bonds that is to say___ Martin Crites, one hundred and fifty four and a half acres, thereof ____now holds it, To Abraham G Casto and Abraham Crites together ______red and ninty five and a half acres thereof as they now together hold___ Margaret Crites seventy eight and a half acres thereof as she ___holds the same, to Marvin Pfost thirty two and a half acres as he n___ holds the same, to Mrs Susan Fisher late Crites 89 acres thereof as s___hold the same and for a more particular discription of the Sa-- reference May be had to the said contract between sadi Watson and Crites ____ ______ the following signatures and seales this 11th Oct 1855.

This deed made this 11th October 1855 between the heirs of James F Watson, De__ __H Brunn Commissioner of the first part abd A G Casto of hte second part. Witneseth __ the said Watson by agreeent in writing the __7th 1829 with Jonathan Casto__ ___the said Casto one hundred acres of land surveyed for & occupied __on Mayes for, of Mell creek and also three acres adjoining it __ the mouth of Bustard run for ten years with liberty to buy the ___for $52 payable on the 7 July 1839 & whereas the party of the____ part has become the occupant and claimant of the said C___said Jonathan Casto & has been sued in the Cir Ct Jackson __ to said com'r for the purchase money in arears and w____said AG Casto & the said commissioner comprom___said suit & said Abraham G Casto has exceeded his b____said com'r bearing ___ date herewith for $82.39 in full of ___ interest adn costs the said commissioner is to dismiss said ___ convey to him hte said land within a month (?).
And therefore in consideration of the premises the said partices of the first part do grant unto the said party of the second part above named & described without warranty To have and ___the same to hime & his heirs forever.

Jonathan Casto was also a son of William Casto, Sr. He married Magdalene Weatherholt and lived near Fairplain. He died before the Civil War but his wife was yet living in 1883. Their children were: Benjamin F, married Matilda Craig; Isaac; Barbara, married Billy Goodwin; Jacob, married Celia, daughter of James Winters, Elizabeth, married Robert Barnett; Abraham, married Rebecca Crites.
